Last Alaska Summer

So this will be our last summer here in AK! It's bitter sweet for me because I love Alaska summers but I am so excited to start our next journey and move back down to the lower 48. This summer we will be very busy! Since we are up here we will be doing a lot of Alaskan touring! In just a few days we will be headed to Anchorage for 4 days. One of those days we are going to Seward! We have never gone down that far so we are looking forward to seeing lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery! I will be taking TONS of pictures so I am also excited for that! As for right now we are getting adjusted to having Gavin home all day since school is already out! We are lucky that a neighbor that moved in behind us this last winter has a little boy Gavin's age and he has someone to play with during the day. We will also be going on lots of mini adventures around Fairbanks, so that will hopefully keep us busy during the days! The weather here has just started to get beautiful! I'm sure the wild fires will be starting up soon, but for now the air is clear and it is sunny and beautiful!

NO MORE BRACES!!

I am pleased to announce that I no longer wear braces!!  I am soooo very excited to have this stage of my life over and done with!  Here are some before and after pics to compare!!

Such a CRAZY difference!!  The before one was taken by the Orthodontist during my consultation.  Not really a fan of the picture, but whatever...it shows the transformation!!

Well, Cory left earlier tonight to go to Alabama.  For some reason this time I already feel like he's been  gone for days!  It's so weird!  It's not like I haven't ever been away from him for long periods of time.  I'm not really sure what's going on.  Earlier today and yesterday he was even driving me nuts so I thought I would totally be okay with him being gone for a week....who knows.  Maybe it's because I feel like we really haven't had a lot of time together lately...maybe I am just being overly emotion...me??  NEVER!!  HA that's a joke...I'm ALWAYS emotional!  I'm sure this will pass...I better get over it I guess because pretty soon he'll be gone for a lot longer than a week! 
To top it off Gavin has really been having a hard time obeying lately!  I know he's at that age where he is testing ALL boundaries!  It drives me insane because he isn't a bad kid...I know he wants to obey, and always after he's been naughty he apologizes for it, so I'm not really sure what goes on inside his head....but I would like to figure it out so I can have a little boy that listens to his mommy at all times....does that ever happen??
